My friend and I had the best time. In my opinion this is more fun than Elitches. Yes, the amenities are fewer and yes- it feels like a step back in time. Some of the rides aren’t operating and many things are dated or in need of a fresh coat of paint. But I can’t remember the last time I went to an amusement park and barely had to wait in line, talked with nice staff, and just left feeling much happier than when I came in. So many smiles all around and $25 to wander around getting happier and happier and free parking? A good deal in my opinion.

My best advice is to come to Lakeside expecting an old, run down yet charming amusement park. I felt like I time traveled. I read reviews so I had low expectations, but in reality Lakeside far exceeded those. It's an amusement park experience from yesteryear. My kids absolutely loved Kiddieland, as they have about a dozen rides for young children. We got a whole pizza for dinner which was actually very tasty, but order it with light cheese. Many rides were broken, some in pieces, yet it was a fascinating trip to a different time of amusement parks. I'll bring my kids back for sure.

Lakeside hasn't changed much since the good old days when rides creaked and admission didnt cost as much as a trip to Eurpoe. I hope it never does. Rides are fun, lines aren't usually too long, and the atmosphere at night is like stepping into the past. Sadly the Cyclone has been closed for at least a summer, but there are plenty of other attractions. Don't skip the Wyld Chipmunk!

Came here before season closing. This place reminded me of Indiana Beach so much, so being able to experience a little time capsule, was comforting. Food prices were amazing, rides were as expected, staff was friendly. Definitely coming back next season.

Good time. Very well priced. It's a little janky and cheap but it's a good time for what it's worth. I'll go here once a week this summer and spend the same I'd spend going to glitches twice. Depends on what you want but it's fun. Food is ...not great. Bring some bug sprat and enjoy riding the rides of the past!
