Reviews
Very nice museum, definitely worth visiting especially the fee is $5 with a student discount and it took me around 40 minutes since I sit a while with each piece. I literally got tears in my eyes from the expressive art. My only complain is it pretty small and I know for sure that there are more art work to be added! * I saw only one floor and now I wonder if they have a second floor LOL but I don't think so

Museo is one of those places that holds it down. All the way 10 toes down. I've been coming to the spot for years and if that's some of my dopest, deepest cultural experiences here. I've seen friends of mine exhibited here. Most recently I walked around with the curator and the museum director to discuss the Anthony Quinn exhibit, a wondrous, insightful, fun, and intimate experience with one of the greatest Latino actors and relatively unknown Latino artists of the time. This is one of the places on Santa Fe that I come back to, as gentrified and colonized and otherized as the area has become, this is a place with roots is deepest cholas with big hoops, keeping it cultural and community. Always good to be here. I highly recommend stopping into the spot if you're ever in town or if you live here and you haven't got over there yet.

I have visited this museum twice. The first time was in 2022 for regular admission for their standard exhibits and once again recently in 2023 for a special, temporary exhibit. I like the small intimate nature of this museum. I highly recommend a guided tour with explanation of exhibits and artists. I learned so much when guided. Docents are knowledgeable and add to the experience. The location on Santa Fe Drive has street parking and restaurants nearby if you want to grab a bite to eat afterwards.
