This was my third time at the 88 Drive-In and I’m glad I was able to experience it before it potentially closes down. This is a theater that is all about creating a fun movie-going experience for its patrons, which can’t be said about some big chain theaters. It wasn’t too busy when we went on a Friday night, and getting in and out of the theater lot was very easy. The concessions are pricey but that’s how the drive-in makes most of its money, so I was glad to snag some popcorn and candy to help support the business. We also got a pizza that was out quick and got the job done. Both the screen quality and sound quality from the radio were good, and we didn’t have any issues or complaints during our night out!

I’m sad it took me so long to realize this was here, and also that it is closing at the end of the season so I’ve heard. I saw a double feature which was very enjoyable. The popcorn was pretty good and the large lasted me about two films. The only downside I wasn’t sure how to deal with were the chain smoking people in the car next to me. After I closed the windows on that side it helped at least. People let other cars out when we were leaving, it was about the best merging I’ve seen. The businesses runs a fairly self sufficient little ship, with reminders for the newbies. I was actually impressed it was as orderly as it was. I hope the reasons for it closing are a happy one, like retirement. Because even though I’ve only been once, the value for me was immeasurable and it will be sincerely missed.

This is one of the last drive-in theaters near Denver located in Commerce City. It is $10 per person and the snacks are not too expensive. The popcorn is $4.50 for a small, $6.50 for a medium, and $8.50 for a large. We went last weekend and they were playing the movies If and Ghost Busters. The first movie starts when the sun sets around 8:15 and the second follows. It had been an enjoyable experience and there had been plenty of parking even upon arriving in the middle of the first movie. We would highly recommend this drive-in movie theater and it is dog friendly.

This place is great. Hope it doesnt close. Is one of the few fun things to do on a thursday night in the area with the family. As- well as part of our history. The prices are very reasonable. $10 per person. We watch beetlejuice and trapped. They have great food and staff. I can't wait to go again!

Me and quite a few friends have gone here on several different occasions. Until one of my friends had brought me here, I had never been to a drive in theater. Such an awesome experience. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a fun inexpensive family night, a date night, or just out with friends.
