Visitor Information
Zeckenbark Dog Park offers a convenient location for nearby residents, but its proximity to busy streets and lack of amenities such as seating, shade, and water make it less appealing for those seeking a comfortable visit. While the park is decently sized and generally not overcrowded, it has a dirt surface that can leave dogs dusty, and its location raises safety concerns due to difficult parking and accessibility issues. The park serves its basic purpose for dog socialization, but many visitors express disappointment with its current state, hoping for better options in the future.

Ok if you live close by, but don’t go out of your way to come here. Small and dusty, and surrounded by busy roads on all sides so not much fetch. Ok for socializing but it’s pretty dirty. Decently busy with other dogs, don’t bring a white dog unless you want to give them a bath they’ll be covered in dust and dirt. No idea why the city picked this spot for a dog park even if it’s temporary.

Used to go to the old dog park at 10th & Pennsylvania. This park is so much closer to us and it’s so convenient popping over there with our pup. Very spacious, the grass didn’t last long but it’s overall a clean park and park goers replenish water for the dogs. It draws a great crowd from central Denver and Scottie looks forward to seeing her friends every time we go!

Decently sized dog park (bigger than the old one at Quality Hill) and usually not too crowded. It is unfortunately next to two very busy streets so it’s not the best option if your dog is scared of cars, trucks, buses, etc. When the park first opened there was grass but that got destroyed pretty quickly so the ground is just dirt, FYI. There aren’t any water fountains here but there are bowls you can fill up if you bring your own water. I hope the city considers other dog park options in Capitol Hill or Cheesman Park that aren’t in the middle of a busy intersection…

Serves its purpose but it’s often not busy due to its location and how full of dirt it is. No place to sit, no shade, and no water. Dangerous to drive and park off Lincoln and Speer. I will admit that I have accidentally thrown a frisbee or two onto Speer
